Cloud Migration of Product Configuration Platform
A leading global computer technology corporation excels in improving organizational efficiency through innovative software solutions. Their flagship offering, product configuration software, is specifically designed to handle complex configurations with ease.
The core challenge was to migrate the part of the backend from a legacy .NET on-premise solution to modern .NET Core microservices architecture, as well as design and implementation of backend services and user interface from the ground up.
The transition was achieved through a collaborative effort, employing modern software development practices such as Dojo experience, with extreme programming (XP) and pair programming. These methodologies facilitated a smooth transition and effective knowledge transfer between the client’s engineers and those from Grape Up.
This transformation led to the modernization of the infrastructure, the establishment of a new operational environment, the migration of core algorithms, and the development and deployment of a new solution. Additionally, the project incorporated a cloud enablement process that significantly improved the client’s operational capabilities.
