Our client, a multinational technology company that specializes in business communications has decided to integrate their products with cloud solutions. The collaboration aims to take its communicator to the next level by preparing it for cloud.

Grape Up’s recent activities have resulted in the release of another version of ClientSDK library used in the client’s communicator that improves work experience and simplifies communications for professionals with an easy-to-use interface. The version provides a number of functionalities for audio and video calls along with messaging and contact lists. The library is designed to be used on the most popular platforms – Windows, Mac, iOS and Android. Although it is developed in C++, all functionalities are translated into native languages on those platforms (C#, objC, Java).

As a part of the release, we’ve integrated cloud services which connect remote teams and organize the progress of the project. These services include mainly messaging and user contact features. Thanks to them, every member of the client’s team can test the application with a free account. It is worth mentioning that before this solution was introduced – a specific setup was required. Having completed this stage of the project, we made the product more cloud accessible. Apart from that, we’ve also taken part in implementing a new feature – a cloud-based service for video and audio conferences as well as web collaboration. It brings the experience of a face-to-face meeting to anyone, anywhere, on any device.

The most challenging part throughout this release was integrating a new service provider which backend services were very unstable at the development time. Previously, we used a different service and, therefore, had to make as few changes as possible in the API so that the new service provider could work properly. Through joined forces and the expertise of both teams, we were able to deliver the best results and meet the client’s expectations.

„We’re very satisfied with the outcome. It took a few dozens of team members to improve the quality of work for millions of people worldwide. And that’s what makes us proud.” – says Tomasz Klimek, Project Manager at Grape Up.
